Positioned as a larger sibling to the Xoom 110, it directly competes with the popular TVS Ntorq 125 in the 125cc scooter segment. Here’s a detailed comparison between the two models.

Pricing

The Xoom 125 is priced between Rs 86,900 and Rs 92,900 (ex-showroom), depending on the variant. It is available in two variants: VX and ZX.

In comparison, the TVS Ntorq 125 is priced between Rs 86,982 and Rs 1,05,982 (ex-showroom) across its six total variants. Both scooters are similarly priced, but the Xoom’s top-end variant is more affordable than the Ntorq’s top model.

Engine

The Xoom 125 is powered by a 124.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, similar to the one found in the Hero Destini 125. It produces 9.8PS and 10.4Nm. Hero claims it’s one of the fastest scooters in its segment, achieving 0 to 60 kmph in a claimed 7.6 seconds.

The Ntorq 125 has a 124.8cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 9.5PS and 10.6Nm. The Race XP variant delivers slightly higher performance with 10.3PS and 10.9Nm. The standard NTorq 125 can achieve a top speed of 90 kmph and 0 to 60 kmph in 6.7 seconds.

Design And Features

The Xoom stands out with its fresh, sharp design, appealing to younger riders who seek a sporty look. The VX variant comes in two colours: Matte Storm Gray and Metallic Turbo Blue, the ZX variant also has two colours: Matte Neon Lime and Inferno Red.

The Ntorq is also known for its sporty design. It has a digital instrument console as well with features like smartphone connectivity, voice assist, and lap timer. Higher variants of the NTorq come with a TFT display and advanced features like social media notifications and live cricket scores.

Underpinnings

BikeDekho Says

With the increasing popularity of 125cc scooters in India, especially the sporty and fast ones, the Hero Xoom 125 enters the market to challenge the highest selling sporty 125cc scooter: the TVS Ntorq 125. The Xoom 125 with its 14-inch wheels could prove to be the more comfortable scooter, while the Race XP variant of the Ntorq 125 with its power and weight advantage is the quicker scooter, while being  the more agile and better handling one given its 12-inch wheels.
