Hero MotoCorp recently released their sales figures and has retained its Market Leader title this year too. Hero has been holding the title with substantial sales figures in the Indian market for over 24 consecutive years now. Here’s an overview on the retail as well as wholesales figures for the FY 2024-25:
Retail Sales
According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), Hero MotoCorp sold 54,45,251 units in the FY 2024-25. They have led the sales charts for March 2025 as well, with 4,35,828 units. In the EV market too, Hero led the pack with 48,674 units of the Vida V2 in the FY 2024-25. That’s a significant 174% increase in yearly sales from 17,720 units of FY 2023-24. The EV monthly sales too, followed the same pattern with 7,982 units sold in March 2025, a 95.39% increase in YoY (Year-on-Year) sales figures from 4,085 units of March 2024.
Wholesale
As far as wholesale is concerned, Hero sold 58,99,187 two-wheelers to its dealerships, out of which 5,49,604 units were sold in March 2025 itself, a 12% Y-o-Y growth. Hero exported 2,87,429 units in FY 2024-25, a massive 43% increase when compared to the last financial year. In the EV segment too, Hero achieved its highest ever sales figures with over 58,000 units, a massive 200% growth this year as compared to FY 2023-24.

In all these sales figures, the Splendor Plus, with its no-nonsense character, has been selling the most with over 1,00,000 units sold every month consistently, leading the two-wheeler market. Hero MotoCorp, a couple of months ago, also added a lot of new bikes with different formats to its portfolio along with some scooters too.
