A peaceful Sunday morning ride turned violent for 11 bikers in Gurugram. They were attacked by four men in a black Scorpio SUV near the Kherki Daula toll plaza. The bikers were en route from Ambience Mall to Manesar when the incident occurred around 7:30 AM.
One biker overtook the SUV, triggering the assault. The attackers used baseball bats, causing injuries and damaging bikes worth lakhs. Videos of the incident went viral, sparking public outrage and prompting police action.
The Incident Unfolds
The bikers, part of the Kawasaki Bike Riders crew, were on a breakfast ride. When one overtook the SUV, its occupants followed and waylaid the group. They beat up the bikers with baseball bats, injuring them and damaging motorbikes. A Kawasaki Z900 belonging to a biker, worth Rs 9 lakh, was smashed. Moreover, a video captures a biker begging, “Sorry Bhaiya,” while he is being beaten up. The assailants appeared intoxicated during the assault.
Legal Action and Arrests
Following the viral video, Gurugram Police registered an FIR at Sector 37 police station. Four men were arrested and charged under relevant sections. The accused were seen in a video apologising, saying, “Galti ho gayi, kshama kijiye.” One victim alleged the attackers were drunk and demanded compensation for damages estimated at Rs 4-5 lakh.

This incident highlights the importance of safety measures for bikers. Experts advise staying calm during road rage situations and avoiding confrontation. If threatened, head to the nearest police station. Recording incidents using smartphones or action cameras can provide crucial evidence. Installing a dashcam is also recommended. Always ride responsibly, follow traffic rules, and avoid aggressive behaviour to prevent such incidents.
