What’s cooking in the Fisch Lobster Trip update? As the biggest Fisch update since the Second Sea, the Fisch Lobster Trip update introduces new ways to reel in creepy crustaceans and other deep-sea creatures. Put down the new rod for a while and instead embark on a boat trip with cages, traps, and nets.

What’s new for the Fisch Lobster update?
The Fisch Lobster Trip update introduces new trawler-style boats equipped with new types of traps for catching crustaceans out in the ocean—Old, Rusty, Reinforced, and Premium Cages. Speak to the Utility Boat NPC on the new Lobster Shores island to buy consumable cages and boats.
Ride your boat out to marked spots, deploy traps from your list, and hang around until the countdown above your cages completes. Crates have Luck and Weight stats just like rods, so you’ll need to procure and use the correct cages for the type of creature you’re hoping to catch. You can fish as you normally would while these traps do their work.
Once a cage is ready to be reeled in, you’ll need to complete a mini-game that involves pressing a button as a spinning dial meets a large zone in a circle.
How do I get a Utility Boat in the Fisch Lobster update?
You can’t fish for lobsters without a Utility Boat. These can be bought from the Utility Boat NPC on Lobster Shores in First Sea or the other new island in Second Sea, or from any typical Shipwright.
Speak to the NPC and click to view your boats like you usually would. Click the ‘View Utility Boats’ button at the bottom to buy Utility Boats, then spawn through that window.
Each size of boat can accept bigger cages available beside the Utility Boat NPC.

Where do you get nets in the Fisch Lobster Trip update?
You can buy nets, a new type of fishing tool, from the new island in the Second Sea.
In case you missed it, you can enter the Second Sea from level 50 so long as you complete the short quest and boss fight. That’s down from level 250 from when it first released.
What are the new weather effects in the Fisch Lobster update?
New weather effects like Rainbow and Tornados will affect your fishing adventures from now on. Expect exclusive fish during these events, new rods and enchants that can boost their effects, and totems you can buy to force these rare weather types.
Where are the new Lobster fishing holes?
Lobster fishing holes are available in both First and Second Sea. Here are the spots we’ve found so far:
- Langoustine – Near Moosewood
- Rock Lobster – Near Terrapin
- Roslit Ray Lobster – Near Roslit Ray
- Spiny Sunstone Lobster – Near Sunstone Island
- Snowcap Lobster – Near Snowcap Island

The following four new rods dropped for the Fisch Lobster Trip update:
