FADA Sales Report February 2025: 2-Wheeler Sales Declined by 6.33% TechTricks365


FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has announced its February 2025 sales report that registered a YoY decline of 6.33% and a MoM decline of 11.31%.

In February 2025, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 1,353,280 units, whereas in February 2024, the industry saw sales of 1,444,674 units. This resulted in a 6.33% decline in YoY growth. Moreover, a 11.31% degrowth in MoM sales is seen, as in January 2025, sales figures were 1,444,674 units.

 Hero MotoCorp LTD sold the most two-wheelers in February 2025, with 385,988 units. This is a 6.80% decrease from the 414,151 units they sold in February 2024. Moreover, their market share declined by 0.51%.

 

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India came in second, selling 328,502 units in February 2025. This is a 7.79% decline from the 356,245 units they sold in February 2024. However, their market share declined by 1.56%.

 

TVS Motor Company Ltd. was third, selling 253,499 units in February 2025 compared to 248,621 units sold in February 2024. Their sales increased by 1.96%, but their market share increased by 8.85%.

 

Bajaj Auto Ltd.’s sales declined by 10.45% to 153,631 units in February 2025, compared to 171,561 two-wheelers last year. Moreover, its market share dropped slightly to 4.40%.

 

Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed a 4.30% YoY growth, with 76,673 units sold in February 2025, compared to 73,514 in February 2024. Suzuki’s market share increased to 11.34%.

 

Royal Enfield motorcycles experienced a 6.33% growth in sales, with 70,130 units sold in February 2025, up from 65,953 last year. Its market share increased to 13.51%.

 

Yamaha India sold 46,095 units in February 2025, which is a 13.47% decline from 53,269 units in February 2024. Moreover, their market share declined to 7.62%.

 

Ather Energy Pvt Ltd sold 11,807 units in February 2025. For comparison, the Ather Energy registered sales of 9,096 units in February 2024, reporting an amazing rise of 29.80%. Moreover, on the market share front, the company also experienced an increase of 38.57% this month.

 

In February 2025, Ola Electric reported total sales of 8,647, a decline of 74.61% compared to February 2024 sales of 34,063 units. Moreover, the company also experienced a degrowth of 72.90% in the market share.

 

Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd clocked in a total sales unit of 3,700 in February 2025, as compared to 2,488 units sold in February 2024. Due to this, the company saw a growth of 48.71% this month. Apart from this, the company experienced an increase in its market share by 58.76% for February 2025.

 

Piaggio sold 2,302 units in February 2025, a 21.41% decrease from the 2,929 units sold in February 2024. The company’s market share also dropped slightly to 16.10%.

 

Classic Legends, which offers retro-style motorcycles, sold 2,287 units in February 2025. This represents a 12.74% drop from the 2,621 units sold in February 2024. Their market share declined to 6.85%.

 

PUR Energy Pvt Ltd sold 1,566 units in February 2025 as compared to 498 units last year. This marks a whopping 214.46% increase and a market share growth of 235.69%.

 

The “Others Including EV” category showed a decline of 12.54% YoY, with sales of 8,453 units, compared to 9,665 in February 2024.

 

Notable players in the electric two-wheeler segment, such as Ola Electric and Ather Energy, showed promising performance, contributing to the overall growth. Suzuki, Royal Enfield, and Yamaha also maintained steady growth. This overall positive momentum reflects increased demand and consumer confidence in the two-wheeler market in India.
