EXCLUSIVE: Upcoming Norton 450cc Retro Bike Could Be Called Norton Electra | BikeDekho TechTricks365

A modern Norton logo has been trademarked too

Quick News Highlights

Norton Motorcycle has trademarked the ‘Norton Electra’ name in India. Recently, TVS had mentioned in an interview that it will bring out Norton and TVS bikes based on BMW Motorrad’s new 450cc parallel-twin engine platform. Considering this, we believe the upcoming Norton 450cc bike could be called the Norton Electra. It is likely that we might get to see the bike at the EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy by the end of this year.

The Norton Electra was a retro motorcycle from the 1960s. This new Norton bike will most likely be a modern avatar of the bike carrying forward the ‘Electra’ nametag. Along with this, a redesigned logo of the British bikemaker has been trademarked too. With several straight-line elements, the new logo looks a lot different from the curvy font in the current logo.

The new Norton Electra is expected to be priced around the Rs 5,00,000 (ex-showroom) mark. The bike will most likely be built for a small audience and will hold a very unique place in the Indian market. This is because it will be the smallest neo-retro bike with a liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine in India, after the Kawasaki Z650RS.
