Daggerheart Age of Umbra Details Revealed
In an official press release, Darrington Press reveals what fans can expect from the Daggerheart Age of Umbra mini-series. As part of its original announcement in February, the campaign will be set in a dark fantasy world contained in the Daggerheart core rulebook.
That land is the Halcyon Domain. It is a place where the souls of the dead are cursed to return in twisted, nightmarish forms. Alongside these horrors are the Umbra, an ethereal force that corrupts all it touches. The only ways people survive in this land are from Sacred Pyres staving off corruption, and tightly knit cooperation. But there are whispers of ancient secrets and power to be found by the brave few.
The world of Daggerheart Age of Umbra will be brought to life by GM Matthew Mercer and will feature Critical Role co-founders Ashley Johnson, Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, and Sam Riegel, and Taliesin Jaffe as players. The game will be a high-stakes story, exploring themes of hope and survival in a world where death is only the beginning.
There are several dates for the Daggerheart Age of Umbra mini-series. The series will debut on Critical Role’s official Twitch and YouTube channels as well as their dedicated streaming platform, Beacon.
