Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto is gearing up to re-enter the Indian market by mid-2025. The brand had previously exited India due to poor sales. This time, CFMoto aims to make a strong comeback by launching two new bikes initially. These include the 450MT adventure bike and the 675SR-R sports bike. CFMoto’s Strategy for India
CFMoto had previously exited India due to low demand and the implementation of BS6 emission norms. Now, the brand is finalising a new Indian partner to ensure better market understanding. Additionally, the premium adventure and sport bike segments in India are gaining popularity. As a consequence, the brand aims to tap into this demand with 450MT and 675SR-R.
CFMoto 450MT
The CFMoto 450MT is designed for adventure enthusiasts. It is powered by a 449cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 42PS of power and 42Nm of torque. Additionally, it comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.
In terms of features, the bike has a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. With this feature, riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and music controls. Additionally, it includes switchable traction control for better off-road handling and USB-C/A charging ports for convenience.
The suspension setup includes a KYB fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. And, for braking it has a dual-channel ABS with switchable rear ABS. This bike can become a tough competitor of the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the upcoming Aprilia Tuareg 457.
CFMoto 675SR-R
The CFMoto 675SR-R is a sportbike built for speed enthusiasts. It is powered by a 675cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine producing 95.1PS of power and 70Nm of torque. Talking about its acceleration, it can go from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.6 seconds. Moreover, the bike has a top speed of 220 kmph.
The 675SR-R features a 5-inch curved TFT display with smartphone connectivity for Google Maps, call alerts, and music controls. This bike also has USB-C/A charging ports and switchable traction control.
For suspension duty, it has a 41mm fully adjustable inverted fork and a preload and rebound-adjustable monoshock. Overall, this sports bike will give tough competition to the Triumph Daytona 660 and Honda CBR650R.
