The company has a slew of launches planned this Independence Day
Ola Electric is gearing up to expand its product lineup, with several new electric bikes and scooters soon, set to launch from Q2 FY26 and beyond (from July 2026). With these upcoming models, Ola aims to cater to a wide range of consumers, from urban commuters to adventure riders. We can expect these announcements to be made on Independence Day, 15 August 2025.
New Models
Ola has six new electric models in the pipeline that will be introduced post-Q2 FY26.
-
The S1 Sports will be a high-performance electric scooter, likely based on the existing S1 platform, and will probably be the most powerful offering in that platform.
-
The S2 range will likely be a completely new platform, and will spawn three models: S2 City, S2 Sports and S2 Tourer.
-
S2 City will likely be affordable, and will offer enough range for city commutes. On the other hand, the S2 Sport will have a balance between performance and range.
-
The S2 Tourer will be focussed on long distance, possibly with more range, and better utility.
-
The S3 will likely be another new platform, with maxi-scooter design.
-
Under this, the S3 Grand Adventure will be meant for long distance touring with the capability of handling bad roads.
-
The S3 Grand Tourer will be suited for high-speed cruising on smooth roads
In addition to these, Ola Electric also plans to launch a range of electric motorcycles. This includes the already unveiled Ola Sportster, Cruiser, Roadster Pro, Adventure, and the Diamondhead (likely to be their top-of-the-line product).
Better Battery Tech
Alongside this, Ola continues to invest in its in-house battery production, with the Gigafactory expansion all set to support the increasing demand. The factory’s production capacity is also projected to grow from 1.4GWh to 20GWh.
BikeDekho Says
While Ola Electric may make announcements regarding all these products in August, the only ones that will be relevant in the near future will be the Ola Roadster X, Roadster X+ range, as well as the upcoming Ola S1 Sport and Ola S2 Platform. The delivery of the Roadster range seems to have been delayed, so expect it to happen from this month. The rest of Ola Electric’s electric motorcycle lineup will primarily depend on how the market response is to the Roadster series. All in all, we will reserve our final verdict on the brand’s ambitious plans until we get to ride the products, and also until the full fledged deliveries.
