Bajaj Auto recently teased the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z with significant updates on its social media channels, but the teaser video has now been taken down. We managed to get the screenshots from the video, and the bike will come with pretty crucial improvements. The bike was spotted at Bajaj dealerships a few days ago with new tyres and sintered brake pads, but with the recent developments, now it produces more power and also gets a quickshifter. Here’s an overview on all the updates it gets:
More Power
The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z comes with the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, but its power output has been bumped up by about 3PS and now produces 43PS. It was already the most affordable bike with producing 40PS of power but now with the update it definitely brings more to the table. The torque output is still unknown though, but it’ll likely remain more or less the same as the 2024 model, which is 35Nm.
Comes With A Quickshifter
The Pulsar NS400Z now comes equipped with a quickshifter that helps in smoother shifts while riding hard without the use of the clutch. It’s unclear whether the quickshifter is standard or optional but we reckon it might be optional so as to keep the base price of the bike competitive enough.
Better Tyres
The 2025 model of the bike was spotted earlier with the Apollo Alpha H1 tyres. These are one of the better tyres you can buy in India. The previous MRFs offered enough grip but the bike struggled when pushed hard.
Better Brakes
One of the other areas where the Pulsar NS400Z lacked was the stopping power. Bajaj offers sintered brake pads in the 2025 model, which should offer better braking performance compared to the organic pads in the previous-generation model. With a kerb weight of 174kg the bike is quite heavy and the sintered brake pads will definitely help control the bike better.
More About The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
The Pulsar NS400Z is the largest Pulsar launched in India in terms of engine capacity. With a price tag of Rs 1,81,318 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 2024 model, it offers massive value for money, and is the most affordable bike that produces more than 40PS of power. That said, the 2025 model, with all the aforementioned updates might cost around Rs 10,000 more. Even at that premium, it will still be the most affordable 40+PS bike in India.
