Bajaj Launches Chetak 3001 Electric Scooter at Rs 99,990 TechTricks365

Bajaj Auto has launched its latest electric scooter, the Chetak 3001 at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom). This new model replaces the older Chetak 2903 and brings several upgrades. Built on the modern Chetak 35 series platform, it offers better range, improved storage, and useful smart features. Let’s explore everything this new e-scooter has to offer.

Fresh Upgrade with Smart Features

The Chetak 3001 is now Bajaj’s most affordable electric scooter. It comes with a full metal body and a retro design. It is available in three bright colours, including Red, Blue, and Yellow. It features a new 3.0 kWh battery mounted on the floorboard, offering a better centre of gravity. This helps the scooter handle more smoothly on city roads.

It now comes with a 35-litre under-seat storage, which is one of the biggest in its class. The previous model only had 21 litres. Bajaj also includes a 750W AC charger with the scooter. This charger can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in about 3 hours and 50 minutes.

The Bajaj scooter gets a digital LCD display. Moreover, users can access more smart features like call and music controls with the optional TecPac. It also includes reverse light, hill hold assist, auto-flashing brake light, and ‘Guide Me Home’ lamps.

Improved Battery, Range, and Practicality

The Chetak 3001 comes with a 3.0 kWh battery pack, promising a claimed range of 127 km per charge. This is a slight upgrade from the 121 km range offered by the Chetak 2903’s 2.9 kWh battery. Furthermore, the setup is expected to be similar to the Chetak 3503, which has a top speed of 63 kmph.

Bajaj Chetak 3001 scooter also offers better ride comfort and handling. The battery placement has made room for a bigger boot space and also improved balance. This makes the scooter ideal for daily city commutes.

The drum brakes are used at both ends for braking, and the scooter continues to use a durable metal frame. Bajaj has also included a reverse mode, making it easier to park in tight spaces.

Bookings have already begun across India, and deliveries are expected to start by the end of this month. Moreover, the Chetak 3001 is expected to boost Bajaj’s position in the growing EV market.
