Bajaj Auto has launched the new Chetak 3503 electric scooter in India at Rs 1,09,500 (ex-showroom) – making it the most affordable model in the Chetak 35 Series range, which was launched back in December 2024. Bookings for the Bajaj Chetak 3503 have already commenced through Bajaj’s official website. Deliveries are expected to begin from the first week of May 2025 across select cities in India.
Where Does It Sit?
Variant |
Prices (ex-showroom) |
2903 |
Rs 98,498 |
3503 |
Rs 1,09,500 |
3502 |
Rs 1,22,499 |
3501 |
Rs 1,29,743 |
Compared to the 3501, the Bajaj Chetak 3503 is around Rs 20,000 cheaper. While it shares the same battery pack, chassis, and 35-litre underseat storage as its more expensive siblings, the 3503 does make a few compromises in terms of features to keep the pricing competitive. While the 3503 is the cheapest variant in the 35 Series, the cheapest Chetak is the 2903 with a smaller 2.9kWh battery – catering to entry-level electric scooter buyers.
Performance, Battery, and Range
The Chetak 3503 gets the same 3.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack as seen on the 3501 and 3502 variants. The 3503 offers a claimed range of 151km, which is higher than the 2903’s 123km. The top speed has been limited to 63kmph – same as the 2903. In comparison, the 3502 and 3501 have a 73kmph top speed. The 3503 takes about 3 hours and 25 minutes to charge from 0-80%, while the 2903 achieves the same in 4 hours (all claimed figures).
What It Misses Out On
The 3503 uses the same round LCD instrument console as the Chetak 2903 – instead of the rectangular TFT console offered on the higher variants. While it still offers Bluetooth connectivity, music controls, and call management, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation. The 3503 also swaps out the front disc for a drum brake. Despite these changes, Bajaj has retained hill hold assist, two ride modes (Eco and Sport), and all-LED lighting.
Colour Options And Rivals
The Bajaj Chetak 3503 is available in four colour options: Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, Cyber White, and Matt Grey. It will compete with other affordable electric scooters such as the TVS iQube 3.4kWh, the Ather Rizta S, and the Ola S1 X+.
