AWS Ending Support For These 10 Services; IoT, IQ, SimSpace On The Chopping Block TechTricks365


CRN breaks down 10 AWS services, such as AWS IQ, IoT Analytics and Amazon Panorama, that the company is ending support for in late 2025 or 2026.

Amazon Web Services is ending support for several popular services offerings—including AWS IQ, AWS IoT Analytics and Amazon Pinpoint—while also closing access to new customers, effective this week.

The Seattle-based $117 billion cloud giant announced there are 10 AWS services that it will no longer support in 2026 or by the end of this year.

CRN breaks down each of the 10 AWS service offers that the company is shuttering.

Amazon Pinpoint

On October 30, 2026, AWS will end support for Amazon Pinpoint. Users will no longer be able to access the Amazon Pinpoint console or Amazon Pinpoint resources such as endpoints, segments, campaigns, journeys, and analytics.

Amazon Pinpoint will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

Customers use Pinpoint either for its engagement capabilities, like endpoints and analytics), or its messaging channel APIs such as SMS, WhatsApp, and text to voice messaging capabilities.

Amazon Timestream for LiveAnalytics

Amazon Timestream for LiveAnalytics will no longer be open to new customers starting June 20, 2025.

AWS said the change will not have an impact on customer workloads running with Amazon Timestream for LiveAnalytics.

AWS is recommending customers look at Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB as an alternative due to its similar functionality.

AWS Database Migration Service Fleet Advisor

On May 20, 2026, AWS will end support for AWS Database Migration Service Fleet Advisor. Users will no longer be able to access the AWS DMS Fleet Advisor console or AWS DMS Fleet Advisor resources.

AWS DMS Fleet Advisor will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

AWS is recommending that customers migrate their database assessment projects to AWS Migration Evaluator. The database service advisor helps businesses automate migration planning and migrate database and analytics fleets to the cloud at scale.

AWS IQ

On May 28, 2026, AWS will end support for AWS IQ. Users will no longer be able to access the AWS IQ console or AWS IQ resources.

As of May 20, 2025, AWS IQ is no longer accepting new expert registrations.

Launched in 2019, AWS IQ connects customers with AWS Certified freelancers and consulting firms.

The company is recommending that customers use AWS Marketplace Professional Services where clients can negotiate a custom price on the online marketplace for professional services and purchase through a private offer—currently known as “Proposals” in AWS IQ.

AWS IoT Analytics

On December 15, 2025, AWS will end support for AWS IoT Analytics. Customers will no longer be able to access the AWS IoT Analytics console, or AWS IoT Analytics resources.

AWS IoT Analytics has already stopped accepting new customers.

AWS is suggesting current IoT Analytics users switch to offers such as Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Data Firehose, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena or Amazon QuickSight.

AWS IoT Events

On May 20, 2026, AWS will end support for AWS IoT Events. Users will no longer be able to access the AWS IoT Events console or AWS IoT Events resources.

AWS IoT Events will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

AWS IoT Events enables customers to monitor their equipment or device fleets for failures or changes in operation, and to trigger actions when events occur.

When migrating off AWS IoT Events, the company suggests setting up comprehensive monitoring and debugging using CloudWatch for metrics and logs, as well as implementing security best practices.

AWS SimSpace Weaver

On May 20, 2026, AWS will end support for AWS SimSpace Weaver. Users will no longer be able to access the SimSpace Weaver console or SimSpace Weaver resources.

AWS SimSpace Weaver will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

SimSpace Weaver helped customers build and run large-scale spatial simulations in the AWS cloud.

AWS suggests customers transition from SimSpace Weaver to AWS Batch to help run their containerized simulations.

AWS Panorama

On May 31, 2026, AWS will end support for AWS Panorama. Customers will no longer be able to access the AWS Panorama console or AWS Panorama resources.

AWS Panorama will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

Panorama brings computer vision to on-premises camera networks.

For a Panorama alternative, AWS suggests leveraging out-of-box channel partner solutions or AWS’ own AI tools and services to help develop an AI-based computer vision application and manage the applications and devices at the edge, such as with Amazon SageMaker, AWS Systems Manager and IoT Greengrass.

Amazon Connect Voice ID

On May 20, 2026, AWS will end support for Amazon Connect Voice ID.

Amazon Connect Voice ID will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

AWS suggest Amazon Connect Voice ID customers transition to Pindrop’s anti-fraud and authentication platform or do-it-yourself solutions with AWS’ End User Messaging SMS.

Amazon Inspector Classic

On May 20, 2026, AWS will end support for Amazon Inspector Classic. Users will no longer be able to access the Amazon Inspector Classic console or Amazon Inspector Classic resources.

Amazon Inspector Classic will no longer accept new customers beginning May 20, 2025.

Inspector Classic is being replaced by the new Amazon Inspector offer now available globally in AWS Regions. The new Amazon Inspector is a rearchitected and redesigned version of the existing Amazon Inspector Classic.
