AutoStore unveils new AI-powered robotic system TechTricks365

AutoStore has unveiled a series of new products aimed at increasing efficiency in high-throughput warehouse operations.

The updates include an AI-powered piece-picking robot, a flexible workstation, an upgraded software suite, and new offerings for smaller warehouses and tighter budgets.

Key technologies announced:

CarouselAI is AutoStore’s first robotic piece-picking system, developed in partnership with Berkshire Grey.

It uses artificial intelligence to automate order picking and is designed for 24/7 operation.

A retrofit upgrade (CarouselAI Upgrade) allows existing users to adopt the technology without major changes to infrastructure. It will launch in EMEA and North America in summer 2025.

VersaPort is a new workstation that can switch between different warehouse tasks without mechanical adjustments.

It integrates with warehouse software for dynamic operations and is scheduled for release in Europe and North America this summer, with Asia-Pacific availability later in the year.

Essentials Software Package includes system optimization tools such as routing algorithms and real-time analytics. It will be included in all new customer deployments from March 2025.

Expanded Pio Product Line (P200, P400, and P600) targets small-to-medium businesses with compact, subscription-based automation systems. These are offered through selected AutoStore partners.

Service Tower is a new solution that allows personnel and robots to access different levels within the storage system without the need for additional mezzanine structures, reducing infrastructure costs and maximizing storage.

AutoStore says the new releases aim to improve automation accessibility and operational flexibility across a range of warehouse sizes and industries.
