The CEO of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta, announced an upgrade for the Ather Rizta Z electric scooter. The upgrade introduces a new multi-language dashboard with eight regional Indian languages, marking it a first in the Indian market. Within three weeks, the distribution will begin, with Hindi as the first language. Let’s understand the upgrade in detail here.
Feature Update: Regional Language Support
On January 23, 2025, the Ather Rizta Z e-scooter got a new update, which is a multi-language dashboard. It consists of Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali. Using an over-the-air (OTA) technology, the update will be released first in Hindi and then in other languages soon after. Overall, this feature aims to enhance user experience by enabling riders to interact with the dashboard in their preferred language.
The initiative is in line with 2024 research by Kantar and the Internet and Mobile Association of India. Actually, they found that 98% of Indian Internet users view material in their mother tongue. So, Ather Energy introduces this feature to showcase its dedication to innovation and inclusion in the electric vehicle industry.
