Apple will soon encourage customers to bring their old gear in to an Apple Store that wouldn’t qualify for store credit to get a discount on AirPods, AirTags, and more.
It’s spring, which means it’s time to declutter our homes and discard unwanted items. Apple thinks so, too, and is planning a promotion to help you turn your old and unwanted Apple tech into credit for new Apple accessories.
Starting Wednesday, Apple will offer a limited-time in-store recycling promotion, likely as part of an Earth Day incentive. The deal will only last a month, so you’ll want to hurry.
Mark Gurman posted about the deal on X on Tuesday.
Apple plans to launch an in-store recycling promotion tomorrow, giving a 10% discount (up to $20 off) on Apple accessories — including AirPods, AirTags, Apple Pencil, watch bands, cases, Mac peripherals — when bringing in items not eligible for trade-in credit. Runs for a month.
