Ahead of the WWDC keynote, the Apple Store in Apple Park has added limited-edition shirts, hoodies, and more, all with famous Apple logos from the past.
This Apple Store is in the Apple Park Visitor Center, and it has previously been the only store to stock certain items, such as a range of “Ted Lasso” merchandise back in 2023. The store is also known for having WWDC exclusive merchandise, but for 2025’s event it appears to have much more than usual — and all of it features classic Apple designs.
As spotted by CNET and now being confirmed across social media, the store’s limited edition items see the return of Apple’s famous six-color logo in different forms.
The most commonly shown items appear to be black or white hoodies. They have the six-color logo plus the lowercase word “apple” tucked into the famous bite.
That six-color logo with the word was designed for Steve Jobs by Rob Janoff in 1977, for a fee of $100,000 (approximately $525,000 today). In 1984, for the launch of the Macintosh, design firm Landor Associates removed the word, leaving just the six-color logo.
The shape of that logo continues to this day, but the six colors have been replaced by chiefly single shades since around 1998.
Also available as a limited edition WWDC promotion are various sweatshirts featuring the six-color logo — and at least one spelling out “Apple” in those same six colors. Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley wears one of these on the cover of his book, “Odyssey: Pepsi to Apple.”
