Omron’s Stuttgart Automation Center wins 2025 iF Design Award TechTricks365

Omron has been awarded the 2025 iF Design Award for its newly opened Automation Center (ATC) in Stuttgart, Germany. The center, which opened in April 2025, serves as a collaborative facility where Omron works with customers to develop advanced manufacturing solutions.

This marks the second time Omron has received an iF Design Award for one of its permanent facilities. The first was awarded in 2021 for the company’s ATC in Tokyo.

Organized by the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover, the iF Design Award is one of the most established international design competitions.

This year’s edition drew around 11,000 entries from 66 countries and regions, which were reviewed by a panel of 131 design professionals. Entries were judged on criteria including innovation, aesthetics, functionality, usability, sustainability, and overall impact.

The Stuttgart center reflects Omron’s vision for the “manufacturing of the future.” It provides customers with access to cutting-edge automation technologies and serves as a space for collaborative problem-solving around production challenges.

Omron says the facility is designed with sustainability in mind, using highly recyclable industrial materials sourced from regional suppliers.

Omron operates 44 Automation Centers worldwide, each designed to tailor solutions to local manufacturing needs and promote innovation in industrial automation.
