BMW F 450 GS Spotted Testing in India, Set to Replace G 310 GS TechTricks365

The BMW F 450 GS has been seen testing in India for the first time. This new adventure motorcycle will soon replace the now-discontinued G 310 GS. Spotted in Karnataka, the bike was fully camouflaged but showed signs of being close to production. It was first shown as a concept at EICMA 2024 and later at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Let’s know more about this upcoming BMW adventure bike.

Inspired by Bigger GS Models

The BMW F 450 GS looks like a smaller version of the popular R 1300 GS. Even though it was covered, we could still notice the GS design language in it. It had a raised mudguard, a tall windshield, and golden USD front forks. Moreover, the test model had alloy wheels instead of spoke wheels like the concept version.

These wheels looked similar to the ones used in the older G 310 GS. It also had a side-mounted exhaust and a top box, ideal for touring needs. BMW might offer more than one variant, with different wheel setups and features.

Engine and Performance Details

It is a new 450cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 48bhp of power. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. BMW is developing this engine in partnership with TVS in India. This means it could be priced well, making it more accessible for Indian buyers.

Furthermore, the bike will meet A2 license rules in Europe, with a 175 kg weight target. It also uses light materials like magnesium to keep the weight in check. You can expect good mid-range power for both road and off-road use.

Features, Tech, and Launch Timeline

The BMW F 450 GS is expected to be rich in features. It could come with a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth and navigation. Also, the bike is expected to feature cornering ABS, traction control, and multiple riding modes.

Moreover, dual-channel ABS is expected as standard, possibly with switchable settings. BMW may unveil the final version at EICMA 2025 in Milan this November. Moreover, the expected price will be between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
