Warzone Season 3 Reloaded will, quite literally, keep the nostalgia train going TechTricks365

It’s almost time for Call of Duty’s next mid-season update, and when it comes to Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, it’s a pretty big one. While the return of Verdansk at the start of Season 3 was a momentous occasion, Warzone‘s main custodian Raven Software is going to keep the nostalgia train rolling (quite literally) by bringing back one of the map’s best features from back in the day. Yes, Verdansk’s train is being put back into service.

For the first time in a long while, I’m finding myself enjoying playing Call of Duty Warzone again, and the battle royale’s shift back towards the original feel of the game is the main reason for it. Sure, fighting your way through the landmarks of Verdansk is great, but the revival of so many old features, or the rebalancing of existing ones, shows not only why Warzone was so popular and beloved in the first place, but how it’s lost its way a bit in recent years.

I know I’m not alone in feeling this way either, and with renewed interest in the game, Warzone won’t be taking Verdansk out of the spotlight any time soon. In Season 3 Reloaded, some of the map’s iterations that arrived after it initially launched are coming to this shiny remastered version. The big news is that the train is back. Filled with plenty of loot, the train has always been a popular hotdrop, so expect some intense early battles if you land on it. Should the safe zones fall in your favor, and should the train come past at the right moment, it’s also a useful way to get around the map quickly without having to use drivable vehicles, which alert other players to your presence.

Elsewhere, two more contracts return. Big Game Bounty marks the player with the highest number of kills in the lobby, while the Train Recon contract tasks you with locking down an objective on the train while it trundles around the map.

High Value Loot Zones will be implemented as well, which stuff certain POIs with more top-tier loot than usual. If you come out alive, you’ll have an early advantage with some great loot and loads of cash.

Rebirth Island’s Triumph TF 250-X dirt bike vehicle is also making its way into Verdansk.

Season 3 Reloaded also sees Ranked Play begin for Verdansk. The map infamously went its entire life in the original version of Warzone without a ranked experience, so it’s great to see that wrong being righted.

Spanning both Black Ops 6 and Waronze, Season 3 Reloaded brings a new weapon to the table as well – the Ladra SMG will arrive as an earnable reward in the new seasonal event. Speaking of, the event is called High Art, is a collaboration with Seth Rogen, and takes place across the month of May – any guess on what the theme might be? I’ll let you take a look at the reward track below and you can be the judge.
