Bajaj Chetak 3503
The Bajaj Chetak 3503 is the most affordable variant of the Bajaj Chetak 35 Series. This variant misses out on some features when compared to the Bajaj Chetak 3502 and the Bajaj Chetak 3501.
The Chetak 3503 features a simple looking LCD instrument console (same as previous-gen Chetak) with smartphone connectivity and features like call alerts and music control. However, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation. Other than this, the scooter gets the same features as the other two variants such as hill-hold assist and 2 riding modes: Eco and Sport.
The scooter gets the same 3.5kWh battery pack as the other variants of the Bajaj Chetak 35 series. The battery pack offers a claimed range of 151km and takes 3 hours and 25 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
The scooter also has a slightly lower claimed top speed of 63kmph when compared to the other 2 variants which get a claimed top speed of 73kmph. To keep costs in check, Bajaj has given this variant a drum brake at the front instead of a disc like the other two variants. That said, the rear comes with a drum brake for all variants. This variant is for people who are looking for an affordable variant of the Chetak, which has all the basic features in place.
Bajaj Chetak 3502
The Bajaj Chetak 3502 is the mid-spec variant in the Bajaj Chetak 35 series. It gets a lot of similar features as the top-end Bajaj Chetak 3501, but with some changes. The scooter has a TFT console, with smartphone connectivity. It also gets turn-by-turn navigation, along with document storage and security features like geo-fencing and remote immobilization. Aside from these, the scooter comes with a hill-hold assist and 2 riding modes: Eco and Sport.
Though this variant has the same battery capacity as the base and top-end variants, it offers 153km claimed range, which is just 2km more than the base variant. It also takes 3 hours and 25 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. But in terms of performance, the scooter is able to offer a higher top speed of 73kmph. The Chetak 3502 makes sense if you’re looking for a slightly more premium variant which checks all the boxes features wise.
Bajaj Chetak 3501
The Bajaj Chetak 3501 is the most premium one of the three, and has a lot more to offer than the mid-spec Chetak 3502. The first difference is the touch enabled TFT console, with features such as full-fledged navigation via Google Maps.
Another interesting thing is that the scooter also gets keyless operation – a feature which feels quite premium. It also gets sequential indicators – something you normally see on high-end cars. We feel this is unnecessary as it does not really add much value in a scooter. In terms of performance, the scooter has the same 3.5kWh battery pack as the other two variants but only takes 3 hours to charge.
This variant is for those who want the most premium offering out of the 3, with a lot more features on offer. It is perfect for those who want the most amount of features and functionalities.
What Do All 3 Share In Common?
Other than the changes to performance and features, all 3 variants have some common bits. This includes everything from the massive 35-litre underseat storage space to the 5-litre glove glovebox on the apron. All three roll on the same 12-inch alloy wheel setup at both ends. The Chetak 35 series goes up against other family-oriented electric scooters in the market such as the Ather Rizta and the TVS iQube.
