It was spotted again with the same colour LCD instrument console from the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
-
Likely to feature updated switchgear for easier console navigation
-
It is expected to come with a slight price hike over the current model
The updated Bajaj Dominar 400 has been spotted once again, showcasing its new features and upgrades ahead of its official launch. The spy shots reveal that the updated model will borrow features from the Pulsar NS400Z.
New Features
The new console brings Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, phone battery and network indicators. Along with the updated console, the Dominar 400 may also get rider aids from the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z – which include switchable traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, and four riding modes — Road, Sport, Rain, and Off-Road. There’s also a possibility of it receiving the five-step adjustable brake and clutch levers.
Removed And Replaced
Interestingly, the upcoming model no longer features the phone holder/mount that was positioned above the instrument console – this was introduced with the 2021 touring-oriented version. Also, the secondary display on the fuel tank – a unique feature since the Dominar 400’s launch back in 2016, has been replaced by a USB charging port.
Engine
Upon launch, the Bajaj Dominar’s engine will also be OBD-2B compliant and we don’t expect changes to the power figures. It has a 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that makes 40PS at 8,800rpm, 35Nm at 6,500rpm, and comes paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
Expected Price And Launch
The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 is expected to be launched quite soon. With the added features, we anticipate a slight price hike of around Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 over the current bike’s Rs 2,32,656 (ex-showroom) price tag.
