Escape From Tarkov now has custom weapon skins thanks to EFT Arena’s battle pass TechTricks365

Escape From Tarkov has never been one to chase live service trends. Its position as the king of extraction shooters and reputation as one of the most realistic, hardcore FPS games has served it well enough. However, its spinoff Escape From Tarkov Arena today rolls out its first ever battle pass, which – thanks to its connection to the main game – brings custom weapon skins to EFT for the first time.

Carrying over the realistic gunplay, gear, and gritty aesthetic from Escape From Tarkov, EFT Arena focuses on shorter multiplayer matches based on some more traditional FPS game modes. In an attempt to give players something extra to work towards, Battlestate Games has today rolled out EFT Arena’s first ever battle pass, which is completely free for everyone that owns the game and is packed with over 90 rewards. As well as offering up some extra currency and crates, there are loads of cosmetics including masks, sunglasses, combat vests, and, for the first time ever in EFT, weapon camos.

Battlestate has confirmed that all the rewards in the EFT Arena Season 0 battle pass transfer over to the main Tarkov game too. So whether you’re playing the Counter-Strike-esque Blast Gang mode in Arena or the hardcore extraction experience in EFT proper, you’ve got more customization options than ever before.

Don’t panic though if you think that the integration of a battle pass – a term that’s become synonymous with ludicrous cosmetics and bizarre IP crossovers – will sully the realistic feel of EFT. Everything still feels firmly entrenched in Tarkov’s aesthetic, weapon skins included.

Battlestate has confirmed that all the cosmetics unlocked from the Arena battle pass will remain in your EFT account forever – they will not disappear with the next Escape From Tarkov wipe, for instance.

The developer also says that the Season 0 battle pass will last for approximately two months, and that it’ll announce an end date for it “a few weeks in advance.”
