Call of Duty finally nerfs the ‘pay-to-win’ Terminator skin in Black Ops 6 and Warzone TechTricks365

The old Roze skin in Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare became infamous for its all-black design that made it almost impossible to see in shadowy corners of the battlefield, but in recent weeks Black Ops 6 has been plagued by a similar issue, this time involving a skin for its Terminator-inspired T-800 skin. Finally, an update has arrived that should improve the T-800 Endo Titanium Core skin’s visibility.

Ironically, Black Ops 6 Season 3 and Warzone’s momentous Verdansk update has seen the notorious Roze skin return – albeit this time with a much more distinguishable design, and a $30 price tag. While this new Roze (or R0-Z3, as she’s now known in Black Ops 6) hasn’t been causing the issues of her original version, the Endo Titanium Core skin for the T-800 operator certainly has. This skin, obtainable through a Terminator store bundle, is one of the coolest crossover skins in the FPS game, but its dark coloration makes it blend into shadows and similarly colored backdrops.

Due to it being a premium skin, it’s not been wreaking widespread havoc like the old Roze skin did, but there have still been plenty of frustrating encounters for players that have run into one, earning it the reputation of being a ‘pay-to-win’ cosmetic.

In an update rolled out today, April 8 across both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, the skin has finally been altered. “The T-800 Operator has received a visibility adjustment to ease target identification for the Endo Titanium Core skin,” the new patch notes read.

However, early screenshots of this skin after the update rolled out appear to show very little difference. The comparison from Call of Duty creator ‘HunterTV’ below shows how anyone running the Endo Titanium Core may still be quite hard to spot.

Given this is a paid-for skin, and a crossover one at that, the tweaks were always going to be minimal in order to avoid upsetting anyone who’s forked out for it. But I did expect there to be more difference than what these early comparisons show. Should more reports flood in of the T-800 being hard to spot, then further changes may be needed.

Until then, make sure you give yourself the best possible chance when facing this stealthy skin by wielding some of the best Warzone loadouts and best Black Ops 6 loadouts.
