Ducati India has officially launched the 2025 Panigale V4 and V4 S in India. The V4 is priced at Rs 29,99,000 and the V4 S at Rs 36,50,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It now comes with a new design language, better features and an updated engine.

Design

The new Ducati Panigale V4 comes with a refreshed design. The bike features a heavily redesigned front-end design. It now gets sleeker LED lights instead of the signature triangular projector LED headlights which provides a new look that is sharper and meaner than before. The fairings and winglets are also redesigned for better airflow and cooling.  Moreover, the winglets are now mounted more towards the centre and are body coloured, compared to the older ones with a carbon fibre finish. The single-sided swingarm is also gone now and is replaced by a double-sided swingarm. Ducati says that it is done to provide more stability and better straight-line performance.

Engine

Both the V4 and V4 S are powered by the same 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine that produces a maximum output of 216PS at 13,500rpm and 120.9Nm at 11,250rpm (0.5PS more and 2.7Nm less than before). The V4 engine is now 1 kg lighter than before and is also Euro5+ compliant. It is paired to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-direction quickshifter as standard.

Features

The new Ducati Panigale V4 gets a new 6.9-inch TFT instrument console with a 1280 x 480p resolution. The console also has smartphone connectivity features via Bluetooth, an all-LED lighting setup, and auto turn-off indicators.

The standard rider aid features include launch control, ride modes, power modes, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control and pit limiter among others. It also has a Sachs steering damper which helps to prevent tank slappers. Customers can also opt for additional features like turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, anti-theft feature and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Underpinnings

The Italian supersport bike is now equipped with a MotoGP-derived aluminium alloy front frame, which reduces the frame’s weight by 17 percent and should make the bike even more capable on the track, especially on the corners. It gets a 43mm fully adjustable Showa BPF fork and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock. For braking, the bike uses dual 330mm semi-floating discs (10mm bigger than before) with radially mounted Brembo 4-piston callipers at the front and a 245mm rear disc with a 2-piston caliper. It also has switchable dual-channel ABS.

The V4 comes fitted with 17-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels, wrapped with 120-section front and 200-section rear Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP-V4 tyres. The bike has the same 850mm seat height but is 7.5kg lighter than before with a kerb weight of 191kg. Meanwhile, the V4 S gets fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends, has a kerb weight of 187kg – 4kg lighter than the V4, and gets carbon-fibre wheels.

Rivals

The Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S go up against the other 1,000cc supersport bikes in the Indian market including the BMW S 1000 RR, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and the Aprilia RSV4.
