5-Year Roadside Assistance Program Introduced For Yamaha Bikes And Scooters For Rs 975 | BikeDekho TechTricks365

The roadside assistance program is priced at Rs 975, and is applicable for all made in India Yamaha bikes and scooters

Yamaha India has announced a new 5-year Roadside Assistance (RSA) program which should make the  ownership of a Yamaha two-wheeler a hassle-free experience. Priced at Rs 975, introducing this plan is a way to celebrate Yamaha’s 40 years in India, and also complements its recently launched 10-year ‘Total Warranty’ plan.

The new RSA program offers 24/7 support anywhere in India, and offers solutions for flat-tyre, jump-start for a dead battery, or other mechanical problems. It also includes towing assistance and minor repairs on the spot. In more serious situations, medical assistance is also part of the coverage. The idea is quite simple, wherever you are, whatever the problem is, Yamaha will provide a helping hand.

10-Year Warranty Plan

This RSA service complements Yamaha’s no cost, 10-year Total Warranty program quite well, which is also an industry first. This package includes 2 years of standard warranty and 8 additional years of warranty at no extra cost (for a limited time). It covers major components like the engine, electrical systems and the fuel injection unit.

Yamaha offers warranty coverage up to 1,00,000 km, for all its scooters, while the motorcycle line-up gets coverage of up to 1,25,000 km under this extended warranty plan. The warranty is also transferable, which means additional value to the second owner if you decide to sell your bike.

BikeDekho Says

Yamaha’s new initiatives should ensure long term peace of mind if you own one of its bread-and-butter models. We hope the Japanese brand introduces a similar scheme for its premium products, the Yamaha R3 and the MT-03 as well. That would go a long way in enhancing the value of the two motorcycles.
