The eye-popping BMW M2 CS has been unveiled at 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este ahead of its full debut on May 28.
BMW is withholding all details about the M2 CS until the car’s official unveiling later this week, but we can see the CS has one major distinguishing feature: a ginormous ducktail spoiler built into the boot.
From the supplied images we know the CS rides on gold colour 19-inch alloy wheels with 275/35 Michelin tyres up front, and there’s plenty of prominent CS branding in the cabin.

According to Carscoops, the 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six in the M2 CS has been tuned to make 390kW. If true, that’s a significant step up from the 353kW version of the engine used in the regular M2.
Unfortunately, while the normal M2 is available with a choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, the CS will reportedly only be offered with the auto.
This may be due to the amount of torque available, as the 2025 M2 auto is equipped with an engine rated at 600Nm, while manual vehicles are limited to 550Nm. The auto M2 can dispatch the 0-100km/h standard in 4.0 seconds.

To match the car’s CS (Clubsport) name, the range-topping M2 will be lighter than its lesser siblings, although how much BMW has stripped out and from where has yet to be revealed.
The M2 CS isn’t the only vehicle BMW revealed at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.
BMW also took the wraps off the limited edition Speedtop three-door shooting brake wagon, the svelte lines of which are quite a contrast to the street brawler look of the M2 CS.
