2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Launched at Rs 1.34 Lakh With New Colours TechTricks365

Yamaha has quietly launched the 2025 FZ-S Fi in India, and it comes with a few interesting updates. The new model is priced at Rs 1,34,800 (ex-showroom), which makes it more affordable than the FZ-S Fi Hybrid.

However, it costs a bit more than the previous generation FZ-S Fi V4 DLX. While the engine and most features stay the same, the new version meets the latest OBD-2B emission standards. Yamaha has also added four new colours and made small styling changes to freshen up the look.

Fresh Colours, Subtle Changes

Buyers can now choose from Metallic Grey, Matte Black, Ice Fluo-Vermillion, and Cyber Green. These colours add both subtle and bold choices, depending on the rider’s preference. Although the bike’s overall design remains the same, Yamaha has made one small visual tweak.

The front turn indicators, which were earlier on the headlight assembly, are now placed on the tank shrouds. Also, the chrome detailing around the tank is now finished in gloss black, giving it a more stylish look.

Updated With New Emission Norms & Features

The main mechanical update in the 2025 FZ-S Fi is the engine’s compliance with OBD-2B emission standards. This 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine now meets the latest BS6 norms. Moreover, the engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The overall weight of the bike remains 137 kg. These updates ensure that the motorcycle stays environmentally friendly while maintaining its performance.

Feature-wise, Yamaha has kept things simple but useful. The bike comes with a negative-lit LCD that shows all necessary riding information. It supports Yamaha’s Y-Connect smartphone app, which gives riders alerts for calls, messages, and emails.

2025 FZ-S Fi Features

Furthermore, it includes phone battery status, fuel usage data, and even a parking location tracker. A new addition to this version is the traction control system. While it may seem unnecessary on a 150cc bike, it does add an extra layer of safety, especially for new riders. The bike also features LED headlights, a fat 140mm rear tire, and single-channel ABS for added braking confidence.

Is It Worth Buying?

If you want a commuter bike that has a sleek design and some beneficial tech, the 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi is a good choice. The new colours make it look fresh, and the inclusion of traction control makes it a safer ride. But if you’re willing to spend a few thousand rupees less and don’t care about not having the newer paint jobs, the older FZ-S Fi V4 DLX is still on the market.

This new FZ-S Fi competes against motorcycles such as the Bajaj Pulsar N150 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V. Within Yamaha’s lineup, it takes its place between the entry-level FZ Fi and the more sophisticated FZ-S Fi Hybrid. While the Hybrid receives upgrades such as a quiet motor generator and a TFT display, the regular 2025 model plays it straightforward.
