Ola Electric has launched the Roadster X+ electric motorcycle in India at an introductory price of 1,04,999. The Roadster X+ is offered in two battery pack options: 4.5kWh and 9.1kWh. The bike is offered in five different colour schemes: Anthracite, Ceramic White, Industrial Silver, Stellar Blue and Pine Green.

Overview of features on Roadster X+ 

The Roadster X+ comes equipped with a 4.3-inch colour LCD screen showing readouts like speedometer, odometer, battery percentage, estimated range etc. The bike also gets three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sport that can be adjusted for the convenience of the rider and can help extract maximum performance or range from the bike.

As for the safety aspect, the Roadster X+ gets a front disc brake with single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) that will prevent locking of the front wheel. The bike also gets Ola’s patented brake-by-wire technology. It  uses a sensor mounted near the brake lever to module the brake pressure while limiting the power delivered from the motor. 

The 9.1kWh battery pack is made up of the made-in-India4680 Bharat cells. These cells are 10% more power dense than the 2170 cells. The bike has a mid-mounted motor with a chain drive. The bike also gets flat connectors that link the electronic components. 

More about the Roadster X+:

Both the Ola Roadster X+ variants are driven by a 11kW mid-mounted motor. The 4.5kWh variant has a claimed range of 252km, while that of 9.1kWh is a whopping 501km. The bike has a claimed top speed of 125kmph and also claimed 0-40kmph acceleration time of 2.7 seconds.The Ola Roadster X+ is all set to rival the bikes like Revolt RV400, Matter Aera, and Oben Rorr.
