KTM is planning to make the 390 Adventure R and 390 SMC R available to the Indian customers. However, it will only be possible if there’s enough demand for the bikes in the country. These bikes are already being manufactured at Bajaj’s manufacturing facility in Chakan, for export purposes.
If there is a good demand for the KTM 390 Adventure R and 390 SMC R in India, then KTM will make the bike available to customers here. However, these bikes will not be readily available as stocks with the dealerships but will be made available directly from the KTM factory.
Being exclusively available for customers in India, both KTM 390 Adventure R and 390 SMC R are likely to be priced at a premium. However, it will take a few months for KTM to homologate and register both bikes and make them available to the customers.
KTM 390 Enduro R Launch Next Month
In addition to the KTM 390 Adventure R and 390 SMC R being available in India, KTM is also planning to launch the 390 Enduro R in the country by the end of March or April 2025. We expect the bike to be priced around the Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
Both the KTM 390 SMC and Adventure R along with the KTM 390 Enduro R will be powered by the same 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the KTM 390 Duke and 390 Adventure. It is paired to a six-speed gearbox, with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. The bikes also get switchable rear ABS features for off-road trails.
