KTM has officially revealed all the technical specifications and details of the highly anticipated 2025 390 Adventure, 390 Adventure X, and 250 Adventure. The deliveries of the all three bikes will begin sometime next month, from February 2025.

390 Adventure

The new KTM 390 Adventure comes packed with a list of features like all LED lighting, a 5-inch colour TFT display for the instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control, off-road mode, cornering ABS, switchable ABS modes, a USB type-C port, and dual-channel ABS as standard. The suspension setup is fully adjustable on both ends, with compression, rebound at the front, and pre-load, rebound adjustability at the rear. The bike is equipped with a 21-inch wheel front with a 90-section tyre, and a 17-inch rear wheel with a 130-section tyre, both spoked rims and with tubeless tyres. It gets a seat height of 835mm.

390 Adventure X

Along with the 390 Adventure, KTM has positioned the X variant as a more road focused, highway touring, and affordable variant. The X offers many of the same core features but without features like the colour TFT display, ride modes, and fully adjustable suspension, only the monoshock has pre-load adjustability. The Adventure X is for riders who want a capable adventure bike, but at a lower price point. It has a 19-inch front wheel with a 100-section tyre, and a 17-inch rear wheel with a 130-section tyre (both being cast alloy wheels) and a seat height of 825mm.

Engine

Both bikes share the same 398cc, LC4C liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine found in the 390 Duke and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, but in these models, it produces 44.86PS at 8500rpm and 39Nm at 6500rpm. The 390 Adventure range will rival bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the upcoming Hero XPulse 421, and the BMW G 310 GS.

250 Adventure

The 250 Adventure also gets the same pre-load adjustable monoshock and wheel setup as the 390 Adventure X. It is meant for riders looking for a lighter, more accessible option in the adventure bike segment, with its 177kg kerb weight and 825mm seat height. The 250 Adventure shares its design and features with the 390 twins, but with the 249cc engine shared with the Duke 250 and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250. It produces 31PS at 9250rpm and 25Nm at 7250rpm. It offers a good balance of power and agility, making it ideal for both beginner and intermediate adventure riders. The 250 Adventure is also more affordable, appealing to a broader range of riders interested in exploring trails. It goes up against rivals like the Suzuki V-Storm SX, the upcoming TVS RTX 300, and the Yezdi Adventure.

Shared Components

All three bikes share the same chassis platform, the six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, the steel trellis frame, the 5-inch colour TFT screen for the instrument console, a 14-litre fuel tank capacity, a WP Apex 43mm inverted fork and monoshock, both with 200mm of travel; a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc brake, a wheelbase of 1464mm, and a ground clearance of 232mm. They all get two colour options: White and Orange, but in different combinations like Orange/White for the 390 Adventure, but Orange/Black in the case of the X and the 250.
