Honda has launched the 50th Anniversary Gold Wing Tour in India at a price of Rs 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom Gurugram). It is a super comfortable and refined, big size highway tourer which gets an equally impressive flat six engine.
Design
The Honda Gold Wing gets a beautiful, aerodynamic design that does a good job of hiding the bulk. Its full fairing, neatly integrated saddlebags and large windscreen offer excellent wind protection and touring capabilities. The seating posture is upright, and the bike excels at long distance travel. The 50th Anniversary Gold Wing Tour is available in only one colour option in India: Bordeaux Red Metallic. The Indian market does not get the classic-looking Eternal Gold and Mahogany Brown Metallic combo colour scheme.
Engine
The Honda Gold Wing features a powerful, 1,833cc flat six-cylinder engine known for its smooth performance and reliability. The configuration is also in such a way that the engine sits low, and this helps the overall stability of the motorcycle. It also makes the 393kg motorcycle relatively easier to pick off the side stand. This engine makes 126.5PS and an impressive 170Nm. It gets a 7-speed DCT (dual clutch transmission), for a smooth and consistent power delivery. The motor is well-known for its refinement, and the bike carries triple digit speeds effortlessly.
Features
The Honda Gold Wing Tour gets an all-LED lighting setup and an electronically adjustable windscreen for better wind protection out on the highway. There is a 7-inch TFT display with a segment first, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (standard in the 2025 model). Compared to the 2024 version, the 2025 update also includes an improved sound system for better audio output. The Gold Wing gets a throttle-by-wire system with a dual channel ABS, traction control and an airbag. There are also 4 ride modes: Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain. Other than this, it gets two USB-C type charging ports and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The 2025 Honda Gold Wing Tour is a one-of-a-kind highway tourer, which offers a perfect blend of extreme refinement, comfort, power and reliability. The flat six engine and DCT gearbox gives it effortless cruising capabilities. With excellent build quality (not surprising considering the bike costs as much as a full-sized SUV) and a focus on rider and pillion comfort, the Gold Wing continues to set the benchmark for premium highway touring motorcycles.
That said, the Anniversary Edition doesn’t really feel special considering the fact that it just gets a few stickers and an exclusive colour scheme over the regular model. Keeping a model alive for 50 years is a big achievement, and Honda could’ve made the Gold Wing’s golden moment a bit shinier. In the Indian market, the 2025 Gold Wing competes with the BMW K1600 Grand America, Harley Davidson Road Glide and Indian Roadmaster.
