Design

The 2025 Hero Karizma XMR 210 retains the styling. It looks quite appealing with its aggressive stance and sharp body panels. The motorcycle also gets an LED headlight and neatly designed tail light which makes the motorcycle look great. The XMR 210 is available in 3 exciting colour options: Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red, and Matte Phantom Black. Other than this, the Combat Edition gets an even exciting looking grey shade.

The Yamaha R15 V4 is unquestionably one of the most beautiful motorcycles currently on sale in India. It gets a sharp front fairing and LED headlight and tail light which go well with the overall design of the motorcycle. The R15 V4 is available in 5 colour options: Metallic Red, Dark Knight, Intensity White, Racing Blue, and Vivid Magenta Metallic.

Performance

For 2025, the Karizma XMR 210 continues with the same 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which is now OBD-2B compliant and makes 25.5PS at 9250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7250rpm. Previously this engine has been praised for its linear power delivery and overall performance.

The Yamaha R15 V4 gets a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which makes 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,200rpm. This is a very refined motor which makes most of its power higher up in the rev range. It also uses VVA (variable valve actuation) technology which changes cam profile when the motorcycle is revved past 7,000rpm. It improves the overall acceleration of the R15 V4. When compared to the Karizma XMR 210, the R15 V4 is much less powerful but the motor has been praised for being exciting to ride and reliable.

Underpinnings

The Karizma XMR has a steel tubular frame. The Base variant gets a conventional telescopic fork while the Top variant and Combat Edition gets golden-coloured inverted fork. The preload-adjustable rear monoshock is standard in all variants. It also gets a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc brake with dual channel ABS. The motorcycle weighs 163.5kg (kerb) and gets an 11-litre fuel tank.

The R15 V4 uses a Deltabox frame and gets an inverted fork along with a rear monoshock. It gets a 276mm front disc and 220mm rear disc brake with dual channel ABS. When compared to the Karizma, the R15 V4 weighs significantly less at 141kg (kerb) while it also gets an 11-litre fuel tank.

Features

Karizma XMR 210 gets an LCD console for the base variant while the Top variant and Combat Edition gets a 4.2-inch TFT console. Both the consoles show all necessary information and support smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. They also get convenient features like turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. Other than this the Karizma XMR 210 also gets all LED lights and a manually adjustable windscreen visor.

The Yamaha R15 V4 gets an LCD console which also gets smartphone connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-connect app and turn-by-turn navigation along with SMS/call alerts. The R15 also gets switchable traction control, quickshifter (only upshifts) and ride modes: Street and Track.

BikeDekho Says

Both of these motorcycles offer great styling, features and performance. The Karizma XMR 210, having a bigger engine, makes a lot more power while the R15 V4 gets a much more refined and reliable Japanese motor. In terms of pricing, the base variant of the Karizma is still Rs 3,000 cheaper than the R15 V4. In the end, for someone who wants more outright performance, the Karizma XMR 210 makes more sense, and for everything else, there is the R15 V4.
